Ronald Stevenson
on: March 09, 2007, 08:38:40 PM
Having just posted two messages about Ronald Stevenson's music, I have had the idea to mention here that the Ronald Stevenson Society, of which I am an enthusiastic member, is planning a big publicity push for his music next year (when he will celebrate his 80th birthday). We're just now preparing an 'open letter' to concert promoters etc. advertising this, and we're collecting signatures from professional musicians and music-biz people generally (but definitely only folks _professionally_ involved in music) to append to this letter. Any fellow enthusiasts reading this who would like to sign are cordially invited to contact me privately - rs2008 (at) googlemail.com (usual anti-spam measure - you know the way....).
Same email address for general information on his music, or just post here!

i think this is a great idea to promote such a good composer's music. unfortunately, im not involved in the music business, so i cant sign. i most certainly would if i could though.
ive been looking for sheetmusic to some of his pieces for some time, the passacaglia on DSCH and the piano concertos in particular. do you know where to get them?
