Anyone know the Mndoyants transcription of the scherzo of prokofiev symphony no5. Im told he played it at the Leeds but I missed that recital

ive heard of him, but i havent heard any of his music. isnt he a really young composer? i really havent heard much about him. although, im probably the only one on this forum that has heard even the name.

He was at the Leeds - yes he is young...He often includes his own transcriptions in his competition programmes - so I thought that there may be a reasonable chance that one of you may have come across him or his music at a competiton...or concert resulting out of a competition.....would seem not. Thanks for at least replying jre he studies in Moscow with T. Koloss if that helps.... dont konw if we have any tchaikovsky conservatory people here???

Dunno - but he was semi-finalist and he played it so..i can only presume its allowed. I would imagine you have to submit it for approval before hand and it would have to be of very high standard im thinking.
