who loves venice!!! I do  ;D :D ;D ;D ;D such a beautifull city - any of you live there? any pics of it would be nice ive been several times and looking forward to oneday going again.

I prefer Garda.

Venice is full of pick-pockets, bird crap, overpriced ice cream and the most expensive multi-storey car park in the world.

I love Italy, but Venice does not ring my bell.

Garda! Im with you thal.  fancy a holiday!! I ve been several times and popped down to the opera at verona...one of my favourite parts of the world. Stunning scenery and awesome icecream!!! Have you ever been to Mantova...I love it! the palazo ducale is amazing!  Im still meaning to get to vicenza...I love palladian architecture.

I don't think i will ever go back. Too warm for me.

I prefer the high winds and freezing cold of the Outer Hebrides.

How are you going to cope with those fires of hell, then? It'll be abit of a culture shock, surely?

Actually, I'm quite sure that you'll not go there (even for a vacation); whatever you may say of yourself, you do believe in J S Bach, don't you?

We should start up a venture - musical tours for pianists!! piano concert in a different palazzo each evening!! ;D ::)  im ignoring you provocative quip Alistair...bad taste! although if we can find a nice Fazioli bach goes well on them! any volunteers!!!
