Who is your favourite 'Idol' Winner?

American Idol, Pop Idol, X Factor, and any other Idols, who is your favourite singer from the competitions you've heard?

My fave from American Idol remains Kelly Clarkson, from the British shows Leona is top for me, and probably my favourite out of all the different Idols I've heard is Finnish Idol winner Hanna Pakarinen, somewhat randomly.

Any other remarkable winners from different countries?

She's not a winner yet, but she will be. If she doesn't I'd probably never watch American Idol again out of sheer disgust.


Most of the winners are never as good as some of the others in the competition. Latoya London was much better than Fantasia, Clay Aiken was much better than Ruben etc.. The worst winner was definitely Carrie Underwood *bleh*.

I could never sit through an entire episode of that...  It's the kind of show that makes me throw away the remote because I lose faith in TV.  The whole premise makes me sick.

Will Young has a fantabulous voice, and he's actually done quite well considering the curse that the winners usually fade away after a No.1 single.

I'm sick of the whole Sanjaya thing! He can't sing and that's that. The only reason he's still on is because of his hair - seriously. (Now I must make it clear that I usually don't watch American Idol, but I was babysitting and the kids can't miss an episode so I watched. That and the fact that everybody talks about it.) And what about the whole thing that Howard Stern's radio show is asking everyone to vote for Sanjaya. I really hope he doesn't win. 'Cause there are some really good voices this season.
