I'll say that any mother who makes her 2 year-old drink spinich smoothies needs to get a life.
Also, the salmonella that comes from eggs comes from the shell. Soooo, if you use "home grown" eggs, like I do, you don't have to worry about it. You could also try just washing them, but I haven't brought myself to do this.
Also, different foods need to be cooked to differnt tempetures. For example, beef is fine at 130-135 F, but my chicken better be 160F when it's done, and I just want my eggs firm, that's close enough
