Okay, I confess, the piano I bought today is not new, it's a 1950's Baldwin Acrosonic Spinet. It's in absolutley wonderful condition. I got an AWESOME deal on it, too. The asking price was 1295, including the bench, 2 free tunings, the delivery charge, and taxes. I told the dealer that I had a thousand dollars that I could put down on it immedietly, and he said he'd let me have the piano at that price, not including tax.
I played the piano for a bit, decided that I LOVED the way that it played, it was just truly a JOY to play. However...not so much to listen to. I was kind of cautious, but when the dealer said that a certain piano tuner would be the one to tune the piano, I was like "I KNOW HIM." Not only do I know him, I trust him. He had tuned my 1920's grand upright about 8 years ago, and made it go from torturous to beautiful. Also, several other people trust him, too. So that's what sold it to me, because I know this tuner will be able to pull it up to concert.
All in all, I got a good deal. I only get one free tuning, now, since the price was lowered, but over all I'm happy with my purchase. Yay! I can't wait for it to get here so I can play it again!
