Hello, I am a new member of these forums and I have found this place through google. It looks a very interesting one with lots of talented people in the right sections. This is my first post and I would like you to comment on a masterclass series of videos I have found over at youtube recently. The most interesting fact lies within the changes Bolet does in parts of the score, at the rhythmical level coming out of his experience. There is a lot more to talk about this set of videos, and having heard his 1983 recording of the same work (with Ivan Fisher conducting) I couldn't help myself but think this over regarding the issue "how much original tempi should be followed" that pops in at times.I hope you find this interesting, I surely did. The link is as follows:one of the best posts I've seen! Thanks!Nick

Thank you for this link. I tried to watch but I just had to stop. At the moment I can't listen to Rach's third without falling in tears. Yep I am pathetic and sentimental . But it's a fact. I *love* Bolet. he has heart, he has incredible technique, he is one of my idols without doubt. I will watch later
Well, that is ultraromantic music after all!
