Debussy: Nocturnes (piano transcription)
on: March 26, 2007, 12:06:10 AM
I have the piano transcription of Fetes, and i know one of Nuages exists, but what about Sirenes?

I've looked everywhere and can't seem to find one; im even working on my own transcription of it because thats how much i want to play this amazing piece.

If anyone has a solo piano version of this piece, or knows where i can get it from or who i could write to who would be able to point me in the right direction i would be really grateful.

There are 2 solo versions that i have, but both copyrighted.

The transcribers are Lucien Garban & Gustav Samazeuilh.

Googling either of those names might find something, but they are not exactly easy to find scores.

Sorry i can't help further.

I googled both and managed to find a publisher of the Gustav Samazeuilh transcription. I will try and order it tomorrow and see if it's still in print

thank you

in case it isnt in print could you tell me who is the publisher of the Lucien Garban transcription you have?

Garban worked as corrector at the publisher Durand. So, the score is very likely published by Durand.
