Why is the search function so just... offensively slow?  I think it pretty much defeats the whole purpose of searching, because by the time someone has sat searching "Rachmaninov Etude" for 10 minutes, they will have already just made another thread about it.  Isn't there something that can be done to speed the searches up?  I mean, just to test, I typed in "Globokar" in posts by user "Mephisto" and it still took like 2 minutes to load.  Just the "advance search" screen takes like 60-90 seconds to load.

We have actually moved over to a much more powerful server today which will make the Piano Street website run smother. The forum database is still on the old server though and when we move that as well the searches will become faster.
The search feature has been rather slow but is also sometimes giving slightly unsatisfying results.
When the forum software will will be upgraded (very soon) the search feature will also be improved.

Being able to filter on Urtext woul be nice--they are very clean.

Would it be even easier if we make more boards and organize this forum a bit more? I don't know if this has been a discussion already but I do think it makes the whole "information searching" thing a lot easier. If we make boards more well known composers.  And for example in the chopin board a second level for his etudes etc. The "area" where you have to look for something you want, is huge now  And I really don't know if that last    sentence is correct  I can help by the way with organizing
