Do you have this game?  What do you think of it?  Do you think it might help develop your hand-eye coordination, rhythm, or finger dexterity to aid your real music making?  I was considering getting it if that's the case..

the guitar is not an instrument.

along with the drums, vocals, and techno beeps.
actually, piano is the only instrument.

in my opinion.

I played guitar for somewhere around 14 years and was embarassed how bad I was at that game, heh.

I think it's only a game, and there isn't much carryover into anything else.  It's a damn tough game though, I have friends who play it all the time and have gotten pretty good...  But for all the time they spend practicing that game, they could have spent it learning guitar.

...But there is Trogdor the Burninator ;D

I love this game!!!  I play it on its highest level but it is nothing like playing the guitar or the piano so it is not going to help with learning to play either.  However, it is a lot of fun.

Possibly the best game ever.

Just finished Guitar Hero 2 with 5 stars on every song 8)
