Nagyvary Violins
on: April 15, 2007, 07:36:06 AM
Okay, so this Joseph Nagyvary fellow claims to have reproduced the Stradivarius. He says Stradivari's secret was an insecticide called Borax, along with quartz crystals and fruit gums to prevent further woodworm and mold. He says his sound analysis equipment confirms that his violins now make the same sounds as a Strad, and that his panel of 400 people could not tell the difference between a Nagyvary and a Strad. What does everyone think? Is he full of it?
