Something a little different.
let us know why.
Never look at the trombones. You'll only encourage them.

My least favorite is op10 no 2 Fmaj at the time. But that does not say anything about Beethoven, just something about myself I guess.  It is Beethoven and it actually does anyway not play a role if it's favorite or not, just the piece is there, absolutely. These pieces are a truth for themselves and if you like one more or less is rather irrelevant after all. It's art and it's truth. Me or you may not like certain aspects of the truth sometimes.

Op. 49 - both (but more so the G major)

It is still well-written, but it doesn't have any interesting aspects of form, harmony, counterpoint, etc. like the other sonatas. However, in B's defense, he obviously had a different purpose when writing the Op. 49 sonatas.
Asked if he had ever conducted any Stockhausen,Sir Thomas Beecham replied, "No, but I once trod in some."
