Is anyone a  fan of Australian pianist  Simon Tedeschi? He has been in the US, has anyone seen him play and what are your thoughts?

Not particularly.  He even fumbled an easy question on spicks and specks ;D.  He's apparently in boston now studying Jazz piano.
Never look at the trombones. You'll only encourage them.

He seems very energetic at the piano and a funny character.

I haven't heard him play a lot but what I heard seemed like he was playing in a concerto - a bit too much projection which sounded like banging - very pianistic approach to making music.
