Worst holidays
on: May 15, 2007, 10:27:06 AM
I've got two days off work, and I was going to get loads of stuff done yesterday and then go to the coast today to sit and watch the waves... and instead I've been at home nursing a bad back. So, I've wasted two days' holiday, got nothing done and the thought of the travelling involved to get to the coast and back made me want to cry so I didn't go and I'm at home sulking. I can only either stand up or lie down, everything in between hurts... so I can't practise either which is a nuisance as I was going to spend some time getting the left hand of Chopin's G major prelude up to its marking of vivace instead of its current allegro moderato with any degree of accuracy...

Misery loves company, so tell me you holiday horror stories! I'm sure there must be a few out there that'll convince me my current plight isn't so bad!
Go you big red fire engine!

sorry to hear about this bad holiday, elspeth.

what about the recent cruise in alaska - ran aground.  everyone ferried out in lifeboats in freezing water.  maybe you don't know how much worse it could have been had you gone to the beach?!

then again - back pain is horrible.  just chill and don't worry about piano for a day or so.  you'll be feeling better again.  the beach will always be there.

Yes my worst holidays have been last summer. So bad that i AM STILL not able to talk about it here. I am just not yet over it >:( And I am (against my better knowing) superstitious, so talking about it would maybe cause new bad luck....Argh... :P
