Volodos studied to be an Opera singer before switching to Piano.
Anybody here heard him sing?

No, but I saw once in Munich a Russian fellow who played violin in the first half of a program, then sang in a countertenor the second half. It was pretty awful. He was accompanied by Tokarev, a pretty good pianist. What is it with Russians trying to play instruments and be singers?
