EnTrance--Improv
on: May 20, 2007, 12:30:46 PM
This is from last friday. It is something like an ouverture. In this one I don't use, like I often did, a certain main theme or motif, it's more free. It is a part of a bigger project in which I start to find a bit a new style. It' s still related to a tonal center though. I have made others of this series where this is less and less the case. The almost quote of Grieg's "Morning" at 1.32 is not fully intended

nice intro. I notice a lot of major 7th chords in this piece, one of my favorites!
This piece is very passionate and Romantic, I really enjoyed it
1:10 - very nice broad chords
3:00 - I like how those figures explode there
3:40 - nice rising stuff
4:50 - I love the harmony changes here and the entrance of the lower melody
5:51 - man...this rules
