on: June 01, 2007, 08:33:42 PM
I am student of conservatory. I go to conservatory first year. I and my classmate want to play some duo for pianos but we did not find something suitable. We want to play something romantic or something from Russian composers. Can somebody help us please?
Thank you.

Rachmaninoff Suites, Symphonic Dances, Arensky has two suites, Lutoslawski has some awesome 2-piano Paganini variations.

Hallo Katka, I have fantastic CD - piano duo K. and M. Labeque, there is a lot of nice music. Visit this address:
https://www.labeque.com/
Find CD "Espana" is discography. Petite suite from Debussy (CD En Blanc et Noir) is beautiful too! The best of luck!

I really recommend Liszt's Reduction for 2 pianos, 4 hands, of the Mazeppa Symphonic Poem.

For us musicians, the music of Beethoven is the pillar of fire and cloud of mist which guided the Israelites through the desert. (Roughly quoted, Franz Liszt.)
