Hi, I'm starting Op27 mv 3 of the Moonlight Sonata and have some (hopefully not too dumb) questions. I'm using a book with fingering recomendations from Schenker.

Bar 190 starts with the left hand on a low C semiquaver (C2) and a crotchet right hand on a C an octave higher (C3). That latter C needs to be held for four notes of the left hand before a rest on the fifth. Problem, the second semiquaver on the left hand is also C3. I could "fake" this by allowing the pedal to hold the first note: that'll allow me to sound the second C3 but it obviously blurs the four semiquavers; or I can release the crotchet to play the second C3 with my left thumb for note 2, hold it for note 3, and play it again for note 4, which sounds worse. Maybe at full speed the pedal trick works best. What do you do?

Talking of bar 190, it says "Tempo 1". Is this back to the adagio of mv 1?!

On Bar 11, the left hand plays a G with the little finger (G3) and holds it "tied" for two bars while the other fingers of the left hand follow the right hand. Fine. Until I get to (according to Schenker) playing the G3 with finger 5 and and E an octave higher (E4) with finger 4. Surely not possible. So either I have the choice of letting go of the G3 and having a relaxed left hand to play the A,G,F,E, etc, or holding the G3 and playing those nodes with a stretched left hand and using maybe just two fingers for all of those notes.
Letting go of the G sounds better, I think. What do you do?

Thanks in advance, and hope I've explained my question sufficiently,

Regards, John

Ok, so one of the questions was dumb  :)

I've listened to a couple of mp3/videos and its pretty clear that "Tempo 1" towards the end of mv3 means to go back to Presto Agitato. But where did it say to stop being in Presto Agitato?
