End of the Year
on: June 06, 2007, 02:50:27 AM
Do you have any suggestions for ways to make the end of year lessons fun???

Especially, for those who are not taking lessons over the summer or who are not planning on continuing with piano?

I'm not feeling particularly creative.  Any ideas?

Pizno

Try some improvisation.  Get your student to pick some random ideas then improvise on them.  Or maybe come up with a simple theme or pattern, and improvise ways of expanding the pattern.

Made a Liszt. Need new Handel's for Soler panel & Alkan foil. Will Faure Stein on the way to pick up Mendels' sohn. Josquin get Wolfgangs Schu with Clara. Gone Chopin, I'll be Bach

 Dear Pizno:
Is it possible to make a recital with your students? If so, try it. To myself, it has been an interesting way to end the activities of a year, to get the focus of the work until there, and to have some fun.
 Best!
