How about the piano and gymnasium?
Is a normal exercise at the gymnasium(a health body ) harmfull for the hands ,tendons etc. ?
I think this is a question which all we wonder about it.
I mean exercise for a normal (keep in form) body don't imagine something like Arnold Schwarzenegger  :)

I don't think so, unless you happen to sprain a finger from playing volleyball or something..Sometimes I find that if I grip too tightly on a badminto racquet, my fingers don't like to move, though.
Support bacteria. They're the only type of culture some people have.

What about playing percussions with your hands. Some of those players have huge hands. Could they still play piano.

As far as piano and working out in a gym...there should be no problem with that.

I don't see why someone her plays percussion with their hands should not be able to play piano. I know plenty of guitarists with very caloused fingers who also play the piano beautifully. Of course I could be wrong, but I don't see why it would be a problem.  I always thought it would be easier playing piano with larger hands. I hate that mine are so small, I wish I had a bigger reach. However a friend of mine thinks my Arpeggio's are so much faster because my hands are smaller/shorter and don't have to "finaggle" around so much to get in and out between the keys.....so I've decided that size does not matter.....it's what you do with them that counts! ;D ;D ;D

Shag ;)

Have you ever shaken the hands of a virtuoso percussionist? Their hands are like big lumps of callous sometimes.
