Pabst
on: June 13, 2007, 08:49:38 PM
There are a bunch of transcriptions of Tchaikovsky, right?

Would you mind posting the ones you have?  Watched Maria Mazo playing Pletnev's Nutcracker and it got me in the mood, even though the Pletnev transcription seems  alittle austere (plus it is copyrighted, which I believe Pabst is not).

Here are a few to get things started

I once pitted my feeble pianistic abilites against the Pabst - Sleeping Beauty.

What a momunmental transcription.

Lovely.

Nice left hand stuff.  Thanks.

Too bad he did no Nutcracker.  Funny what is perceived as popular and not so popular at the time.

Got a Beethoven spirit going on, so I'll be out for a while.
