What is the black piano?

It would be nice to know some information on these recordings, where and when they were made, and whether or not it's copyrighted material. For instance there are recordings of Bach's WTK by Richter and Gould. Richter played these in concert numerous times in addition to his studio recording, so with no information, there's no telling where it's from. Gould, I'm sure never played them all publicly in his short lived concert career, so this is most likely the studio recording available in print (which means you should buy it).
Don't let anyone know where you tie your goat.

For us musicians, the music of Beethoven is the pillar of fire and cloud of mist which guided the Israelites through the desert.  (Roughly quoted, Franz Liszt.)
