fingering

i'm learning how to sight read and i'm getting a little bit better at it.  when i do it though i get my fingers all tied up whenever i go out of the regular scale position.  anyone have any tips to help this problem?
why does it hurt when i pee

I wouldn't try learning fingering by sight-reading.  Take a piece and write in all the fingering first, and then play through it, and do that until you get used to a lot of different types of fingering.

I do it in pencil, because I don't get it right the first time through.  But as soon as I speed up a bit I realize where it is awkward, and sometimes my hand will find a better way on its own.

I bought a battery operated eraser.  It was $10 USD but well worth it.

Never seen one of those before! :)  Everything is battery operated these days.

AFter your hand "corrects" your written fingering, do you write in the corrections?  It's highly advisable, for two reasons: 1. to remember it for the future, 2. because it is not always easy to be conscious of exactly what fingering you're using but  you should know it as well as the notes

thanks, thats a good idea i would have never thought of writing in the fingering first.  that will help out a lot

it took me quite a while to conquer that same problem, practice practice practice really will help you get there though!
