I am sure if you go to a conservatoir you have better octaves than me. I just pointed out that there is a difference between the word "no" and "know".

If you dissagree, and think that "no" is a verb, by all means continue to argue with me.

When did I say it was a bloody verb? Pray tell me!!! My god, this is like the time you accused me of saying stuff in the Beethoven thread. If you are not going to argue with me about octaves than don't try and be a clever dick on an octave thread unless you wish to argue against my octaves. In which case I will happily debate with you. But you are just being an arse.

I haven't said that you called "no" a verb. You used it as a verb.

What does "its simple really" mean in this context? Do you mean "it's simple really"?

Again I have to stress that I am sure that both of you are better pianists than me, and I have never said that my octaves were better than yours franzliszt2.

Then join an English language forum if you are not going to give any comments on octaves!!! Do you ever use msn? Do you type perfect english there all the time? It's obvious what elevate meant....but you are clearly so mentally retarted you can't understand it

Yes, that you are learning me how to spell words.

Yes, seriously I can see your point.
As I have written before, mistakes aren't the problem. One should just try to write as good as possible.

i'm about to throw my metronome out the window.
comparitively to your scale how fast are you supposed to play your octaves? like i'm working on getting my single note scale at 132 in sixteenths. my teacher told me that my octaves are supposed to be just as fast as my single note scales, how is that possible? so 132 in sixteenths octaves, on c # minor. does this sound right to anyone? and i've been trying relaly hard, but i just can't get my arms to move that fast. no matter how little motion i make, or how light i play, i just cna't seem to go that fast.

get a new teacher.

Take Your Seat! Trifonov Plays Brahms in Berlin

“He has everything and more – tenderness and also the demonic element. I never heard anything like that,” as Martha Argerich once said of Daniil Trifonov. To celebrate the end of the year, the star pianist performs Johannes Brahms’s monumental Piano Concerto No. 2 with the Philharmoniker and Kirill Petrenko on December 31. Piano Street’s members are invited to watch the livestream. Read more
