Meeting People from the forum

Have any of you met someone in person after FIRST meeting them on this forum?
Asked if he had ever conducted any Stockhausen,Sir Thomas Beecham replied, "No, but I once trod in some."

i met kaiwin and ate some lox that had been sitting on the table for a while that nobody else on pf wanted to eat.  he had a big big fish tank.  i worried for a slight minute that perhaps he grew his own salmon - but all fears were allayed when he let us see his digital keyboard and we got to play on it.  and, i met some people whom i've forgotten who they are now.

also, shhh.  i've met rich (forget his username) from cunningham pianos.  he is very nice.

cmg is going to meet me at the mahler's ressurrection symphony at the kimmel center.  if i can attempt to stand up at an inopportune time and announce 'i'm here.'

I met pita bread some time ago. Unfortunately no pics though. We met at a recital at our music school. It would be nice to meet some others here as well.

maybe we should hold recitals now and again?  or competitions?  or just plain call them duels.  you know - record the whole thing - the playing, the fighting, the torturing - the maiming, the name callling, the back stabbing.  everything.  it could be a new reality show.

Yes we were lying together reading a pocket version of Ulysses and discussing the Catholic symbolism.

jlh, that was me too.  I would have met Thalberg, but it seemed like somewhat of an awkward situation.  Guess at your school, people don't go back to meet the performer??
