Beethoven's Rondo in C Op51 No 1
on: June 26, 2007, 02:11:06 PM
Hi, does anyone play this?
If so, what do you like about it, or find difficult?
I am just starting to learn it for my performer's certificate.

for which performer's cert? which system are you under? I have played it before and it is off a Grade 9 RCM standard far from the standard of ARCT Performers. I love the way the subject/main theme sings, the color of the piece, the way it develops. Don't find it particularly hard.

Hi,
I am studying for Trinity College London Performer's Certificate. Post grade eight and before the recital diplomas (ATCL and FTLC).
The pieces aren't techincally hard, more meant to give a rounded performance of altogether about half and hour.
I'm doing the Mozart Fantasia in C minor (k475), a Chopin Nocturne, Chopin Mazurka and the Beethoven (unless I change my mind).
