Let us not forget David del Tredici's Soliloquy for piano solo.

"Soliloquy," do you like this fiasco? Do you like having other members rain trash down on you? Only someone with either a sick sense of humor and/or a mental disorder would. If you don't want to be attacked, don't attack them. You already proved that you do infact start attacks, and that you do provoke harsh judgement and criticism. If you stay by your claims, then support them. No use running. Although it is funny I'll admit...

LOL!  Yeah, I started this.  Sure 'nuff.

OH.  WAIT.  I think the person who started it was the emo who didn't get what s/he wanted and decided to whine about it.  Anyway, like I've said, many members here have heard/seen me play.  Just not the coercive ones :)  *doesn't respond well to coercion*

-no one ever got what they wanted dealing with you, thats the problem. Mostly because you actually have nothing to give, I mean, you dont NEED to hear you play. You cant, I dont need to see scans of rare scores, you have only what you got from gamingforce and everyone else has as well. I dont need to see your work, it doesnt exist. And so on...

You act like its just me, and elevator_music, ahinton, indutrial, retro, pita bread, and another 30 guys that think you are a poser... no, its the whole board really (all 1000+).

All your pride in being all knowing, and you cant provide the simplest things. I could argue with you forever :) In fact, I will.

I neither coerce nor have I ever heard or seen a note of your playing/writing (as I have indicated previously); I also make no judgement one way or the other, but that is at least in part because I have not heard or seen (etc., etc.)...

What deal did I have with you?  You sent me sh*t I didn't want, when I never said I'd give you anything.  You just up and sent it.  You sound like a pretentious, spoiled 5 year old brat who doesn't understand a single thing about how "trading" works.  You didn't get what you wanted so you're gonna cry about it like a little emo pregnant dog.  Do you really think *I'm* the one who looks like an idiot in this thread?  Anyway, you keep arguing with me.  I hope you have as much fun with it (oh by the way, I thought you said you were leaving the forum; change your mind?) without me because I'm abstaining from this idiotic thread.

PS- I don't even have an account on gamingforce.

Let's not go wielding the term "pretentious" when you're the one who calls pieces "ferociously boring" and other such cockbarf.

The whole clique-ish "trader" rules you seem to foist are the reason I think "traders" can go F themselves and why I prefer to mildly float sheet music requests at Gamingforce from time to time instead. In turn for acquiring rare-or-OOP things there, I try to share my rare-or-OOP discoveries and I really don't care if leeches download it. They're not hurting anyone, most of them probably won't even use it, even privately. However, if I lose the score or my computer gets fried, maybe one of those leeches will be able to resupply my lost file down the road, etc... Trading is not a higher calling than sharing or leeching. It's just a slighter more structured way of stealing.

Plainte Calme (Messiaen)? Rhapsody in Blue (Gershwin)? Étude, Op. 25, No. 12 (Chopin?) - all sounding together?...

Bet,

Alistair

I just recently became aware of Messaien's preludes and they are simply wonderful.  They seem to logically follow the Debussy etudes.

(BTW Alistair I just sent you an email about Sorabji so I hope you got it.)

They are indeed wonderful - and somewhat under-appreciated, I think.

I just got an email from someone, to whom I am about to respond; whilst I cannot be certain that this is you (and I will not, of course, divulge its author's identity on this forum), it may well be!

I will take a stab at it:

-That one guy who really liked it, but has been banned.

-His pet salamander

-His mother (she can hear what goes on in the basement from upstairs)

-Another forum regular "I love Xenakis", he was adament to how great solo-guy's playing was.

-xxjjpipullpoop, also a great follower of Mr. Solo.

-another 10,000 people that he just forgot where/when/why.

-his alteregos, all 14 of them.

But you don't state which two - there were three items cited in that post; more clarification needed, it would seem...
