Excellent control, rhythm, and a nice pure tone. Can definitely tell it's a professional effort. Would definitely like to hear the other movements. A more romantic-style interp than my very favorite (Gould), but perfectly valid. Well done!

Amazing! That's such a wonderful recording!
Often this piece sounds much more like Prokofieff Toccata than like Bach.
thalberg, you have a very sensitive, swinging, jazzy rhythm feeling - it reminds me of Jacques Loussier, whom I adore very much.
Applause, applause, applause... !

wow. this is amazing. why did you ever have doubts about a musical career. you've already got it - it sounds. very beautiful playing. i like the gouldish effect - although - it's more refined than goulds, imo. you don't make the pianissimos hard to hear. i like the dynamics being somewhat closer together and yet discernably different. also, i like the general keeping to a tempo and not too much wildness in the tempo - but going for dynamics and energy levels. so cool! i like also the musicalness of your interpretation. you truly did think about how you wanted to perform this movement and not just let it play itself.

Hi thalberg,
Very clean articulation, a supreme eveness, rhythmic precision, and fluidity thoughout. I can really appreciate hearing a wonderful rendition such as yours. You definitely have a natural feel for Bach's idiom. Congratulations on this performance!

Such a wonderful interpretation, with much detail towards phrasing and dynamic inflections. A joy to listen.
I would like to hear the rest of the suite

Wow, that's really quite something Thal, congrats. I can't wait until you post something else. Can you record the Goldberg Variations for us?
I know it's a lot to ask haha...but it would definitely be worth hearing.
