Saint-Saens/Bach transcription??
on: July 02, 2007, 02:59:07 PM
Would anyone have the Sinfonia from Cantata "Wir danken dir Gott," BMV 29? This movement originated in the "Preludio" to the E Major Partita for solo violin and later popped up in other guises. Saint-Saens took it from a later incarnation in a wedding cantata (1729). Thanks!

Bingo! Thanks, Thal. What a treat!
As usual, I owe you one, so if you get to NYC and have a shirt that needs ironing, you can use my sofa!
Best,
Michael
