Offensive language on PianoStreet Chat!
on: July 02, 2007, 04:31:44 PM
Offensive Language is increasing throughtout PianoStreet but it most often occurs in the Chat. Sexual, racist, discriminating...ect.

Isn't this site viewed by many nationalities at many different ages? Children and sensible people don't want to come on to be greeted by that!

I have even recieved death threats by someone on this site (I will not mention names) and I told two moderators and still I recieved NO reply! It should be on top of their list as it says in the rules that offensive language is not allowed!

And what is well... what, I forgot to what the world filter changes it.

This will make no sense at all, thanks to the stupidity of the person that put this word filter into place. Thanks pregnant cat.

Wait, now he will never know if I just called him a pregnant cat or the inappropriate language that is changed into pregnant cat. Haha, now you are a victim of your own stupidity.

I don't really think language can be offensive as long as you're age falls into 6<x<106.  Just sounds like whining.  Did someone really tell you to go f.uck yourself and then you went and cried yourself to sleep?

This message is aimed at "pies" and "soliloquy" and "elevateme_returns".

elevateme_returns...just because this post mentions bad language doesn't mean you have to use it in posts.

soliloquy and pies...Who are you aiming your post at?

All I am doing is pointing out that lots of bad language is used here. Surely you can all express your feelings without having to restort to bad language?

How does one suffer from bad language?

Does a pregnant dog  *** them while they're in the chat?

Hmmm. Ah wonder...

Why the "*" in "sh*t" but not in any of the other words that so inelegantly describe the kind of writing you are offering us here? (not that I care a ****, really)...

"Chardonnay" is deemed to be an offensive word only in the "ABC (Anything But Chardonnay)" context, as far as I know. I am not Arabic, by the way...

Yes. It depends of who that says. If it's someone who means a lot to you it would be strange if you don't cry yourself to sleep actually. Strangers who tell me that though...Just go **** yourself ;D

People don't need to put up with this...people come on to discuss things and no one needs to put up with such language. Maybe there should be a filter of some sort...if you say a**e it should come up as "bottom" or something. LOL

Is this possible?

Exactly people come on to dicuss things, which some may feel the need and may include use of such offensive words. I am not condonig the use, but I mean come on are you seriously not expecting such words to crop up when there are so many thousand members? Who really cares any way, fair enough children access the site, but I am sure they access other sites also.
If such "inteligent people" see a couple of words then i'm sure they will have the intelligence to see past it.
All in all I could see your point if it was an epidemic but I honestly can't take this sensitivity seriously.

judging by elevateme_returns' post, I think the filters need a lot of modifying.

I'm appaled that they let words like that through.

It must be referring to something a most displeasing person or an stupid, foolish man might use.   :P
