Erection protection
on: July 06, 2007, 01:24:43 PM
Ok, I'm not a teenager anymore, but I still get erections all the time.
Most of the time it isn't sexual at all, but it happens.

When you really don't want it to happen, especially in a nervous situation, it happens, and it can be embarrasing if people can see.

I can imagine this is more common than people would admit, and I'm wondering what you all do to prevent it, and to hide it if it happens.

Strategic positioning is a factor, but just as the mind can wander, so can the phallus.

The problem with piano playing is that both hands are in use most of the time, so some awkward bodily shifting might be the only way to hide it from view??

An erection is always sexual...
I suggest you, when it happens, to think about something you really hate or something that worries you.

Indeed, the death erection is particularly disturbing, and can hardly be sexual.

Wear briefs (tighty whitey's) instead of boxers.  This prevents the thing from pushing out and making a "sausage tent".  ;)

why is this in the performance thread?  is there some performance issue involved?  i mean - do you get them regularly when you are performing piano music?  is it like the music turns you on so much that you can't decide if it's mental or physical?  most people probably wish they had that much emotion.

enjoy your youth, young man.  don't complain too much.  my aunt was just visiting and she's worse than i am about talking.  she was surmising which men the she was around at work and certain men in the family had ED.  i said, what is ED.  she says' oh, you know - erectile dysfunction.'  i started laughing a lot - but then, controlled myself and asked 'how do you know these things?'  she says that men make up for it by overcompensating in other ways.  she said she thought one of the signs was a slight depression and that women could easily talk them into things more than men who didn't have it.

Oh, are you sure you don't mean a vague "fantasy" ?  ;)  But then again, I am sure that wouldn't be vague :).

Anyway, I have never posted a video, so I don't really know what you are talking about ...  ::)

It's not really just an issue of being turned on.

Fact is,m it happens alot during practice, and I can really imagine it happening during a performance.

does it help to hit it with a hammer?  maybe once for all time?  btw, i am not saying this to be smart or anything.  you could just solve the problem once and for all.  five minutes of pain for a lifetime of relief.

i don't know why - but i keep coming back to when my cat broke her tail.  perhaps they heal?  her tail now goes straight up again.

actually, perhaps the best thing is to just get married and have sex a lot.

i have a sort of question, though.  what makes a 'boner' hard is blood flow, right?  so - if all the blood flow is going there - what happens to the brain.  do you become somewhat oxygen deprived and dizzy when this happens?  now, if my theory is correct- what you need is headgear.  something that constantly massages your head while you play.  i mean - the head on your shoulders.  and not xhunter's.  good grief.  i don't know what his problem was.

Hence, the expression "well hung" since an erection is often a side effect of hanging.  (see creepy picture in the wikipedia article...)

Well...I am still a teenager (17) and I know how erections can be very annoying...I suggest wearing jeans with a belt...when you get an erection, position the penis upwards and trap it underneath the belt (It never hurts me).

Therefore, no one can see it!

hahahahh!  I remember this was the big topic back in jr high, we called 'em NRB's (no reason boners).

I remember walking from class to class carrying my books strategically, looking back I probably fooled no one ;D  Certain cars always got me, by the time the ride was over I'd always be at full mast.  I began to care less and less who noticed.  By the end of highschool I remember waking up in my desk with a big 'ole NRB, I noticed a girl across from me was looking, she seemed more embarassed than I was.  I went back to sleep.

I was talking to a friend who's a nurse, she was telling me that if they're inspecting a guy and he got stiff the nurses are supposed to whack 'em in the tip with a pencil and BAM - flacid.  Kinda harsh.  I wouldn't blame the guy, she looks pretty good in her uniform. ;)
