Fingering question for rage over the lost penny
on: July 09, 2007, 01:09:02 AM
I can't find a comfortable finger pattern for the right hand decending scale part starting at when the piece first goes into the Bb scale change.  The part begins with Bb, D, G, Bb, D, G, Eb, G, C, Eb.  My finger position for the first four measure of this part are, 3,5,1,5,1,5,1,2,3,5,1,5,1,5,1,2,3,5,1,5,1,5,1,2,3,5,1,5,1,5,1,2.
I just don't feel comfortable using mostly 1and 5 like that.  Is there a better way to do this?
why does it hurt when i pee

I dont know the song... so keep that in mind before reading what I think.

It depends on what fits your hand.  I'd probably recommend trying out a few finger patterns and deciding what feels the most comfortable. Or there might not be a better way... I'm not really sure.

Here's your fingering, a little easier to read:
3,5,1,5 - 1,5,1,2 - 3,5,1,5 - 1,5,1,2 - 3,5,1,5 - 1,5,1,2 - 3,5,1,5 - 1,5,1,2

Why don't you try this fingering:
3,5,2,3 - 1,5,1,2 - 3,5,2,3 - 1,5,1,2 - 4,5,2,4 - 1,5,1,3 - 4,5,2,4 - 1,4,1,2
