American Theatre Organ Society Concert
on: July 10, 2007, 07:09:57 AM
Last week was the annual convention of the American Theatre Organ Society in New York City.
The final concert was given at Trinity (Wall Street) Church; where the pipe organ was pretty much destroyed on September 11th. They have installed an electronic, digital instrument to replace it.
If you click on the link it will take you to the website for Trinity and on the website you can click on the Watch the Concert "Watch Now" button.
It is a long concert, but I would suggest you skip ahead to 1:25:45 on the timer and watch this guy's pedalwork on "The Stars and Stripes Forever" by Sousa.
You will never, ever see anyone play like this. His name is Cameron Carpenter and he is a 26 year old American.
Enjoy,
