Well, out of the listed it's Rachmaninov, but I think of anybody, I'd choose Gustav Mahler (even though he couldn't/didn't write well for piano).

xenakis doesnt belong on that list as he died in 2002 and its lacking a lot of notable romantic composers of the 20th century

well.... i don't really know much about xenakis. was also trying to find some of his scores in the library. what i've heard of his music was that they were related to mathematical concepts.

Rachmaninoff is the best pianist on that list, but I think Copland was more knowledgeable about music in general..... a tie for me!

Doesn't it just blow you away though when you hear Rach's piano concertos how anyone could ever even think of such music?
