Exam Questions
on: July 17, 2007, 02:14:02 PM
My friend got asked these questions for his LRSM:

1.What is the main difference between chopin etudes op 10 and etudes op 25?

2.In your own words compare the Rach preludes to the etudes-tableaux

3. What are the difficulties in authentic playing you have to overcome when playing bach on a modern piano?

he had to answer all of those on the spot with no preparation. can anyone here answer any of them? if not, youre not ready to do a licentiate.

Answer 1: 15   ;D

Answer 2: The preludes are not as bad as the etudes

Answer 3: too much rubato, too much pedal  :D
If it doesn't work - try something different!
