Everything in this thread is a FACT
on: July 20, 2007, 06:43:21 AM
This is a debate in which EVERYTHING posted is treated as a FACT.

Only post 1 or 2 short sentences as a rebuttal to another persons post but you CANNOT dispute the truth of anything written.

Lets see how long this can last, if at all...

The Debate is: "Burning Fossil Fuels is Good for the environment"

I will start by saying that burning fossil fuels keeps bacteria levels in the air we breathe down to a safe level.

I think that a better reason to continue burning fossil fuels is the FACT that as we extract these fuels from the Earth we leave lots of holes that help the Earth breathe.
If God really exists, then why haven't I got more fingers?

But these large holes will cause the earth to collapse in.

But it is also a FACT that we need lots of places to take landfill garbage.  These holes are ideal  ;D

Landfill garbage explodes with the power of a hydrogen bomb when it comes into contact with magma.

Interesting that "garbage" has featured so early in this thread; whether this might have any significance in terms of its substituting for the final word in the thread title in presumably open to question...

Mr Hinton, you are off topic again, sir  ::)  ;D

Exploding sub-terranian garbage can be harnessed as a new and important energy source, which we need, and that's a FACT  ;D

the combustion of compressed and squashed garbage produces a EMR with frequency higher than gamma rays. According to E = hf, many people will die from the intense energy.

However, that is good for the environment because fewer people means less strain on environmental resources such as firewood, fish, and lemons.

The FACT is, as Mr. Bush said recently, why should we in the West stop burning fossil fuels, if the Chinese will not?

The Chinese have obviously got the whole thing sussed. They are very clever you know.
Mr. Bush is therefore very clever for his insight in the possitive effects of burning fossil fuels.

Well done America for voting in this extremely forward thinking man.

Fewer people would also mean less farting, therefore less methane.

Not entirely so, by any means, for the first part of what I wrote was and is a FACT; only the second part implies something that may be open to opinion...

Yes - gases have the tendency to spread evenly over the whole world. So if the air would be to a great part free of toxic gases in the USA, the toxic gases of China would immediately stream from Asia to the USA. This could be the cause of a big environment catastrophe!!!  Only very few people are aware of this problem - and Bush is one of these few people  ^^
If it doesn't work - try something different!

fact: this thread has quickly deteriorated to garbage and should possibly come in contact with magma so as to be vaporized like a hydrogen bomb.

Methane isn't a greenhouse gas.

it's a mega greenhouse gas.  farting in coal mines could also lead to hydrogen explosions.  they call it 'the bebung effect.'  many people have died from this.

I sometimes wonder how people get through life...really.. ::) ::)

Doesn't anyone READ and UNDERSTAND SIMPLE rules?  ::)

One more time, for the DUMMIES.

Once something is posted in this thread, it becomes A FACT  ::)

I said Methane gas isn't a greenhouse gas.

Let's see if we can continue without further interruption from dunces.

and i said it was a 'mega' greenhouse gas - which would distinguish it from a simple greenhouse gas.  things are heating up here.  which is true?  mega or not even.  it's all according to what one considers a greenhouse.  is the earth really a greenhouse?  with 2/3 of the world's trees cut - i'd say it's poorhouse and lacking green.

i change my answer to 'mega poorhouse gas.'
