Environmentally friendly thread
on: July 23, 2007, 02:37:52 PM
In the interests of our environment I ask that you do NOT post in this thread. The electricity you save by not posting in this thread can be used to post in another, more useful thread. This saving will reduce the contribution to climate change. Thanks for your co-operation.

When I saw this thread topic, I though it might refer to some new fibre (or fiber, if you're American); I see now that it doesn't, which is perhaps a shame, for otherwise it might have been a useful thing with which to tie up in knots some of the more egregious "dark green" environmental alarmists among us...

I always thought that e-missions were somehow analogous to the electronic postings of pianistimo, but...

You may notice that just "posting" in a thread is not wasting electricity...it is the fact that the computer is switched on! Did you not learn physics?

Some people need everything to be explained...

The TIME you wasted posting this could have been used productively in another thread. This means you could have switched your computer OFF earlier thereby saving electricity. Yes, I did learn physics, you must have been absent for the lesson on time.  ::)

Aren't you also anti-environment by replying to my question?  And if not, what makes you so special?

pianolearner - first of all, I would appreciate it if you could NOT be sarcastic. Second of all, your message said that you could save ELECTRICITY not TIME!

This was a point I was trying to get across, I suggest you rephase your posts from now on. :)

NO! I am here in the best interests of the environment and THAT is what makes me special. YOU however, are wasting electricity here.

Time = Electricity

This is one of Newtons (mostly) unknown laws. It was found scribbled on the back of an unfinished Sudoku puzzle he was working on.
