piano newB having problems with pianostreet sheet music
on: July 26, 2007, 04:30:47 PM
I upgraded my membership to gold status only to find out that the sheet music does not come with the fingering (Brahms opus 119 no1). Are there any sites that you can recommend that have sheetmusic with the fingering? I'm self taught, but i have a few pieces under my belt (chopins raindrop prelude, a couple of bach preludes, a schubert impromptu). It would take me a very long time to figure out the fingering on my own
Any advice will be greatly appreciated!
btw, it was Thalbergs recording of Brahms that inspired me to get back into piano!
thanx

If you are intent on having editions with fingerings already written in, your best bet is to go into an actual music store and look through the music. Hal Leonard and Alfred Publishing usually have performance editions of music with editorial markings already written in.
Another option is to look for music second-hand. Other people may have already written fingerings in.
You could also just figure out the fingerings yourself...it would help you learn the piece better by making you find the most effective fingering for yourself...everyone is different and some things might not always work the best.
