What is cool in music these days?

Ok so, what do I need to listen to to make people think I am like really cool?

cool in what way?  i mean, there's classical cool.  contemporary cool.  jazz cool.  i'd listen to some jazz and then just improvise something to turn several classical pieces into medley's.  end with something like liszt's hungarian dance #2 but add a cadenza to the end.  something where you end with the rh and lh's on the far extremes of the piano - and then bring your arms up in the air.
