This is so much fun! Come look.
on: July 28, 2007, 11:14:49 PM

We are writing another story.  Please participate.

NEW RULES AGAIN :D :D :D

1.  Each entry is to be 7 lines long.  No more or less.

2.  Build on what the previous people wrote--no cancelling allowed

3.  Each user is only allowed ONE post TOTAL!!  EVER!!  (oooh strict)

4.  The story must come to a complete end on the TENTH post.

(No sooner! Which means no killing all the characters early)

Anyone who ends the story before that will be disregarded as though they had not posted.  No one is to continue it after the TENTH post.  But, if people wish to still post, they may write reviews of the story.

As I walked into Steinway Hall, I couldn't help but smile.  It was the moment I had been waiting for all my life.  I was about to purchase a brand new Steinway D!  There was a technician on call.  As I walked by him, I casually dropped my coat as if to say, "pick it up, servant."  After all I was famous now, so I could behave like that.  I sat at the first piano.  But before I could play, a tall blond woman came up and introduced herself and  started talking to me like she knew me.  I thought, "doesn't she know I'm only in New York for one day, and that I have to choose a piano within only 6 hours?"

So I showed her my third nipple.

EDIT:  Sorry - read seven words, not seven lines: six more...

Indeed, my nipple.
'Twas a blue nipple.
The other nipples were not.
It was an extraordinary nipple.
No other nipple was like it.
The nipple spoke volumes.

do i get to take michael langlois six unused lines?

yes. it was odd.  i had a third nipple.  for a man this was embarrassing.  something i should have had plastic surgery on long ago.  but there it was.  at the end of my fourth finger.  she stook aghast.  as though she had never seen a famous freak performer.  she didn't suggest anything drastic - but did mention the sanding machines at the steinway factory could probably take care of it.  the factory was down on the wharf.  knowing i only had six hours and a half an hour was already taken in discussion about my finger - i quickly chose the piano.  i shut my eyes and picked one.

But, instantly, the woman vanished -- a mirage, a phantom.  I realized my lust for this piano was manifesting itself as sexual desire.  Stupid!  A piano is a piano.  A Steinway D, afterall, is not a bra size.  Could anyone imagine Rachmaninov playing a brassiere?  Of course not.  Who ever heard of the "Well-Tempered Brassiere"?  Or, worse, the "Hammerbrassiere" Sonata?  Or the complete Brahms "BrassiereWerke?"  What had I become, this man seeking to buy a Steinway D?  A size queen?  Enough.  Basta!  I reached into my jacket and discovered a pocket-sized copy of The Bible.  Inscribed thusly:  "The blonde thou seekest, liveth! Dump the 'D!'  Chooseth me!"
Current repertoire:  "Come to Jesus" (in whole-notes)

unable to leave steinway hall without a piano - i decided to have both the steinway and the blond i supposedly seekethd.  i had shut my eyes and inadvertently picked a C.  good news - for now i had money for both the operation and a few dates with a blond.  the operation went well, with only a slight fracture to the finger from the force of the machine.  i took a cab to central park to take in a summer concert with the last few hours left.  it was difficult to concentrate amongst strains of tchaikovsky's swan lake.  but, i managed to find a spot beside an attractive blond.

FAILED!  Posted twice.  You lose.  Game over.  Damn pianistimo, how could you not have noticed that?  I mean like... it's right up there in the rules.  It even has eye-grabbing parentheses next to it.  I just don't understand how you coudl be so callous as to the rules that poor little Thalberg here obviously so spainstakingly created, trying to keep order and function to his story.  How dare you ruin his fun, and the fun of everyone else, by selfishly and coldly posting twice, not allowing as many member to partake of this party of verbiage and mild to very mild hilarity.  I just can't believe that you call yourself a christian but obviously do not believe in something so obviously and inately moral such as sharing.  <------- 7 lines.

Hey, I kept it to seven lines, and kept it in topic (it was about posting too much!)

Hey I followed the rules as well...  I kept it at 7 lines, and also built on what the previous poster wrote...

 ;D

You were the 10th poster, so why did you not end the story then?  8)
