Did you know that cars burn an extra one billion gallons of gas per year hauling around the excess pounds of the overweight?  Or that jets burn an extra 350 million gallons of jet fuel for the same reason?

Anyone who wants to save the environment, make sure you stay at your ideal weight.

Actually, it is completely possible to make a chart that correlates an increase in American obesity rates over time with the average temperature (say over the past 100 years).

Just like it is possible to correlate a decrease in the number of pirates worldwide with an increase in average global temperature.  Coincidences, all?  I think not!

Yeah, and it doesn't matter that driving is only 2% of entire emissions.
In any case, the most important is you stay at your ideal weight just to be healthy

I am sure my emissions are more dangerous whilst cycling than driving.

So the more i try to lose weight, the more damage i do to the Earth.

Any more absurd emission rules and higher road tax brackets will shortly mean that i will cycle more than ever.

I suggest smoking   I went from 5'2" at 240lbs to 6'0" at 140lbs in like a year when I started to smoke    Then I quit a few months ago and am back up at 155 =/  Personally, I think smoking for a couple years is a lot less dangerous to your health than being 100lbs overweight your whole life.

I completely agree.  And you'd probably have a better self-image too.

Of course, it would be best to do neither and just have some alcohol now and then.
