on: August 04, 2007, 01:23:56 PM
Why are there SO MANY threads on Pianistimo? Is everyone obsessed with her? Honestly, there are so many threads on Pianistimo...I could write a book! LOL

gwk like you don't know the answer..it's obvious but i guess i will just say.

pianistimo is a bit different in the sense of her constant reminder of her religion. Which makes her a very controversial person to discuss. with questions people feel the need to ask her all the time. Hence the # of thread about her, and she does also make a big amount of threads herself.

pianistimo is one of my favorite members.

pianistimo  is the toreador in this forum. Many bulls think they could get rid of her, but she always is the winner and nobody is seriously harmed  :D

She knows how to provoke, but she is always fair in the fight and at times she can also be very cooperative, inspiring and entertaining.

What would this forum be without her? I don't even want to think about...

Ditto to nicco...

Not to mention that she's the only member to have a 10K + post count...

you mean some kind of analogy about bettina brentano and the 'eternal beloved' (yes, i know - i tend to romanticize things).  the thing is - i am sincerely obsessed with piano and so people might view me as more 'normal' on this board than say my general neighborhood.  but, then again...

all i can say is that those piano lessons alzado were complaining about - turned out to be alright after all.  you see, older people can be tricked into thinking whatever comes their way must be good for them.  eating carrot sticks.  why not make lunch and then go to the bathroom?  who cares about 'pavane for a dead princess.'

as i see it - if you are now past 40 - first of all - consider yourself lucky.  mozart died in his thirties.  second of all - don't feel badly if you are wrong 1/2 the time - and always wrong to your children.  the only way you'll have a brain left is to use it constantly to challenge people.  with the exception of the appliance guy.  when he says 'turn on the oven' - he's probably turned off the gas and won't blow himself up.  it is quite unnecessary to remind him (but i did anyways - i said 'are you sure you want me to turn this on?  because his head was down looking under the oven).

I called the gas man in to undo something I did.  I put a toothpick in a pipe to stop the gas instead of turning it off.  He was such a brave man, and I know he went back to the office with a chuckle at my stupidity.  I am glad there are such people!

By the way, I respect pianistimo.  The forum is greatly benefited by her presence.
