well
I have heard Hamelin (lacks any spirit, dull playing, but perfect technique)
Banowatz (simply awful in any aspect)
and ashkenazy (i don't ashkenazy in general and this recording is no different)

so anyone can recommend me of a really good recording of this magnificent concerto ?? :D

I actually rather like the Ponti recording, although i am a little biased since his recording is coupled with the Brilliant Thalberg Concerto.

Hamelin's effort is note perfect uninteresting bilge. I would rather listen to the midi.

Josef Hoffman jubilee concert.  VAI published a while ago, you may still get it.
Money does not make happiness, but it can buy you a piano.  :)
