Crying or laughing- what do you like more?
on: August 10, 2007, 06:40:35 PM
To me this is a difficult question. Very difficult, kinda. I mean... polls are anyway not representing something really scientific- but that's not what it is about. I'd like SUBJECTIVE and emotional answers. :)

i'm very sorry to hear this.  life is tough sometimes.  i wish it weren't so.  never give up.  pray and have faith it will work out.  sometimes those quiet moments give you pause for reflection before another job or another opportunity.  a way to relax even though you are worried about making ends meet.  don't stay focused on the 'problems' whatever they are - but actively keep making attempts to reach out even in ways that don't provide remuneration.  i've noticed that some things turn into jobs when people see what you can do.  being positive gives you a better chance to make things good for yourself.

Life is sometimes "tragical", you know. like you are supposed to make lemonade you are sometimes supposed to make a hilarious joke out of a "tragical" feeling. I even love that somehow sometimes :P when the "tragical" feeling is about to leave it gets sometimes VERY funny and that is the sort of moment I like, hee hee.

Maul what did you expect from me? ??? ;D

I chose laughing and I wish I could cry.  Nothing beats a good long laugh with a group of friends.  And of course, I can never cry when it "seems" appropriate.  I only cry when either I'm sick, or severely emotionally wounded.
When you earnestly believe you can compensate for a lack of skill by doubling your efforts, there's no end to what you can't do.

Yeah, I don't cry often either.  I enjoy being the life of the party, laughing.  Laughter is good medicine!

I like both. I can cry to take out all the sorrow out of me. And I can laugh to bring and let out happiness of me too.

Both can cure me.

ooops.   :-X

hey, nobody picked the 'golden mean' yet.  there's no yin/yang thing to happiness and sadness.  we don't have the same of both?  is that true?  i haven't actually calculated this in my own life.  i tend to see the glass as half full - unless it's too early in the morning.  have had some rotten moods between 6 and 7 am.

i hear there are rhythms that our bodies cycle through during the day (not just sleep cycles, but attention cycles - etc).  perhaps one week of calculating all this and then choosing the best time to cry or laugh seriously.  all the other times could be due to hormones or some kind of malfunction due to sleep deprivation.

has anyone ever thought they were experiencing a sort of out-of-body experience by actually crying?  once i started crying and felt like i was watching myself.  then it seemed that i cried more for a time.  and then, stopped when i felt like the experience was too surreal.  i've never done this laughing.  although, once i saw my husband laugh so hard he fell on the floor and did this turn around on his back that looked like break-dancing (kicking his feet).
