The Wrong Brahms
on: August 11, 2007, 05:36:31 AM
I read something that I find absolutely hilarious.

Evidently, Johannes Brahms had a brother.  When Brahms became famous, his brother became known around Vienna as "the wrong Brahms."

Does anyone else find this funny?  My goal now is to achieve enough success so that will happen to my brothers...haha j/k.

what about picking the wrong piano?

and what about benches! some of them rock side to side.  better to find that out BEFORE you start playing.  go and rock around on the bench.  see if it falls apart.  get a chair.

Thalberg, couldn't you make enough money by teaching?  Surely someone with your experience might even have a shot at teaching in a conservatory, college, or university?  And if not, even teaching at a local music school might be worth considering, no?

Indeed you're correct; I could.  My career change is by choice.  I'm looking forward to it getting off the ground.  It will be fun.  I start computer programming classes in eight days.  :)
