So the next thing on my agenda is to attach an audio expulsion manifold to my vehicle. It has been begging for one. I already have the Eclipse head unit, and I'm probably going to get JL Audio subw00fers and amP. The question is, what kind of speakers shall I collect. Hmmmmm. I just need that tight, juicy sound. Nah mean?

k, I've decided on a system that comes to $2142.85. Does that seem excessive?

What exactly comprises said system?

These are pictures I took for insurance purposes of my old car.  It was a 1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse 5-speed coupe...  I bought the car used in 2003 and 2 months after I bought it, I hit a male deer on the freeway at 11:30PM while I was going 70+ miles an hour.  The deer was running and I didn't see it until it was too late!  The deer crumpled the hood and was flung over the roof of the car.  I wasn't injured but the car would not drive after that and I had to tow it.  :'(
that picture almost gave me a heart attack

Yeah I totalled my last car hitting a deer at about 65 as well. Didn't look near as bad as that though.

I have some pics of it now. Here's the car itself:

Here's the system. 3 amps, one for the JL Audio 12" W6v2 sub, one split for the JL set of front speakers, and the other for the back set of JL speakers. The guys who installed it did an excellent job with everything, especially the sub enclosure.

I'll probably get a new head unit soon with time alignment because there is a slight delay between the sub and the front speakers.

Were that true, (a) we composers might as well all pack our bags and become motor engineers and (b) you'd have no banjo to play.

I heard a Bentley engine once.  Oh.....my......goodness......the most amazing deep rumbling sound I have EVER EVER heard.  Someone shoudl include that in a symphony.

Live performances by symphony orchestras are by definition very expensive already without adding to any one of them the not inconsiderable costs of hiring such a car, making its access onto the concert stage possible and arranging the insurance and security for such an occasion, so don't look to me to be the composer of such a symphony!

One might presume that the sound of an EV1 engine (had that vehicle survived to production) or that of a certain forthcoming Lotus to have been represented already well in advance by Mr John Cage...

Apparently everyone here is too embarrassed to show their POS cars. Piano teachers. Figures.
