Many years, er, decades ago I heard an uptempo jazzy setting of the Nicene Creed that worked pretty well.

I'd like to do it as an offertory this Sunday but haven't found it anywhere.  The church subscribes to CCLI but it is not in their listings.

Any ideas?

Yeah, I know it will raise some eyebrows.  Creeds and Praise & worship bands don't go together.  You can't mix liturgical and nonliturgical services - or can you?

If I remembered the whole tune I'd write it out myself, but I don't.

I don't know.  I think you can mix two or more worship styles.  As far as the piece, I have never heard it, but will look around for it.  You may want to contact jpianoflorida.  He is active in church music, or boliver, but I think he is overseas in the military now.  I will keep an ear out for it.  You may want to contact a Christian University music dept.   Someone has to know it.

OK, so how long will it be before "someone" here replies to this?(!)...

There used to be a good one in a small book for youth (not kiddy) choirs.  It had a maroon cover.  I'll ask  PT the director here.

jlh,

Thanks, those are some interesting settings, but not what I'm thinking of.

If I knew how to make notation appear here, I'd write out the first couple of measures, then you could tell what I'm looking for.

When I found the first one from catholicplanet, I thought that might be the very one you were looking for.

Could you sing a bit of it for us?
