Red Bull alternatives
on: August 17, 2007, 08:42:30 AM
I know red bull is dehydrating. Is there any other disadvantage to drinking red bull? Any other food/drink that can keep you awake? I don't drink coffee because its bad. Okay but I drank one can of nescafe earlier. I ran out of red bull.

I know red bull is dehydrating. Is there any other disadvantage to drinking red bull?

-- Three girls in Newport Beach, CA went on a killing/robbing/arson spree after just three days of drinking Red Bull.

-- Pianistimo saw the Eye of God four times in two hours after just two days of drinking Red Bull.

-- Soliloquy morphed into imbetter after just one day of drinking Red Bull.

-- pianowolfi transcribed the Mahler Eighth Symphony for piano (left foot only) after just looking at a can of Red Bull.

BE VERY AFRAID, MYCRABFACE.

p.s.  could you please explain your screen name for me?  I'm confounded by it and being confounded makes me crave Red Bull.
Current repertoire:  "Come to Jesus" (in whole-notes)

LOL cmg ;D. People always also claim that coffee dehydrates. But if you always drink enough water in between it's actually no problem, and I heard that dehydration begins to get remarkable only after the fourth cup of coffee. I say coffee isn't bad at all. :)

i saw the eye of God?  four times?  in two hours?  i think i tasted red bull once and had to spit it out.  it tasted terrible to me.  but, sleep deprivation and or drinking what alistair callssex on the beach with vodka, peach schnapps, and cranberry juice or some other juice makes me feel quite unworried.

how about drinking green tea?  it's supposed to be good for the immune system and calms your nerves at the same time.  perhaps it's not exactly an energy booster immediately - but i find that more green things a person eats and drinks - the more sustained energy over a longer period of time.  after my first child (and eating ice-cream too much) - i decided to quit eating sugary things and eat basically a southern diet.  you know - cooked collard greens.  i began buying the store out of collard greens.  they don't taste as bitter or strong as some other greens and provide a lot of nutrients to your body.  immediately i wasn't as tired.

*note - you can even drink the water from greens after you cook it.  it doesn't taste as bad as you might think.  in fact, cold or hot.  just guzzle it and you're like popeye.

Red Bull gives you wings and can lead to pregnancy.

It's the caffeine that dehydrates...

I didn't invent that name for it, by the way, nor do I happen to know who did...

Red Bull...can lead to pregnancy.
If that's really the case, I think that Susan would be safer having sex on the beach than drinking Red Bull...

No, I somehow didn't quite imagine that you'd really want to think about pregnancy again; quite what watermelons have to do with this fact, one way or the other or none, I have less than no idea, however (but then what's new?!...)

Meth-amphetamine.  It also has the fabulous side-effect of increased efficiency, as with the previous necessity of sleeping and eating out of the way of your busy schedule, you can accomplish 150% of the work you normally do!

Other side effects are loss of teeth and job.  Without brushing and working in your way, your efficiency level boosts another 50%!!!  So you'll do 225% of the work in the same amount of time!  Or, 112.5% of the work in half the time!

btw,

i have a cup of coffee everyday in the morning, it wakes you up real good and doesn't dehydrate.

Eat a breakfast/dinner with a solid amount of carbs and make the rest of the meal (and you lunch!) be healthful, nutritious, and balanced.
Get exercise(30 minutes cardio 5-6x a week, 1h lifting 3x a week) and sleep 6-9 hours a day.

That should take care of you.

i was joking about the watermelon in relation to pregnancy.

not sure there is anything that totally replaces sleep.  at least i haven't found anything.  it used to be sugar for me - but that only gives you highs and then you get more lows.  it's terrible to be in class and fall asleep.  i'd say pies is correct.  water.  orange juice?  exercise!  exercise is the only thing that helps me wake up early and stay energized.

Piano Street Magazine:
Women and the Chopin Competition: Breaking Barriers in Classical Music

The piano, a sleek monument of polished wood and ivory keys, holds a curious, often paradoxical, position in music history, especially for women. While offering a crucial outlet for female expression in societies where opportunities were often limited, it also became a stage for complex gender dynamics, sometimes subtle, sometimes stark. From drawing-room whispers in the 19th century to the thunderous applause of today’s concert halls, the story of women and the piano is a narrative woven with threads of remarkable progress and stubbornly persistent challenges.
