Composer Poster
on: August 17, 2007, 07:49:08 PM
This may sound unnesessary, but I was looking around on the internet for a Chopin poster, nothing exactly arty or incredibly decorative, just a little something to go on my wall. Having looked on some sites such as allposters.com and others I can see maybe one or two I would be interested in but they are all so called "fine prints" costing £30 + all the way to a hundred and something.
Do any of you know where such an article may be obtained, just a portrait of the man will do.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can offer suggestions.

I also look in vain for these things.  Try checking eBay.  If you find anything, please let us know!  I envy those who have in their homes framed photographs or posters of great musicians...

What does this even mean???  What is the motive of posting this?  This is beyond stupidity.  Explain ANYTHING LOGICAL about this post.  I defy you!

Well there is a Chopin poster, but it seems rather ugly in my opinion.   I am always looking for actual photographs, or real paintings of the composers, reproduced, that are frameable.  If anyone has a resource for those, please let me know!  Where do all these piano teachers get framed photographs of Rachmaninoff and Liszt?  I can only find postcards.

They pay more than 20EU for them; that's the key ;)

Cheers for the input guys. I must admit I agree with ramseytheii about the Chopin poster, it is rather ugly. But thanks all the same soliloquy. I am glad I am not the only one who is looking out for stuff like this, I check ebay every now and then but I don't think I have ever seen anything other than postcards.
Well I will keep it up and inform you of any sites etc if I find them.
