do you think i play schubert with too short of phrases? and you are playing chopin like my schubert. making smaller phrases instead of a long line? *runs away. hopes doxy doesn't hate me forever. as i hear it - if one were dancing and turning and playing with the speed - we would go through at least 1/2 or an entire page without too much speeding or rubato at the end of the smaller phrases. then, a slight rubato at 'points of articulation.' this would make the piece a more coherent whole.
btw, i LOVE the fast parts and twists and turns. just want to hear the long extended lines - as though the entity is a whole. as though one danced at least half the floor of the ballroom with the first 'section.'
